Tum nahi fitna-saaz sach saahab
Sheher pur-shor is ghulaam sey hai

Koi tujh sa bhi kaash tujh ko miley
Muda'a hum ko inteqaam sey hai

Sher mere hain sab khawaas-pasand
Par mujhe guftagoo awaam sey hai

Sehel hai Meer ka samajhna kia
Har sukhan us ka ik maqaam sey hai
